This game is one of a growing number of games in the ‘survivor’ (which derives from Vampire Survivors). It’s clear that the developer has put in a lot of work to make the game distinct enough that while it exists in the same genre it isn’t merely a copy.
In Boneraiser Minions you play as The Boneraiser, who is basically a necromancer, with each enemy you kill you gain bones which go toward raising units because unlike Vampire Survivors you don’t fight, your units do. The units can be upgraded and mixed into various forms and relics that you acquire will strengthen them which in turn makes you safer.
As you play you’ll unlock new classes each of which require a change in tactics, especially once you’ve unlocked their abilities. It isn’t just classes you unlock through play though, you also unlock several different play modes, a card game and an architect mode that allows you to change the map to work more to your advantage.

I think I actually prefer this game to Vampire Survivors, I’ve certainly put more hours into it that’s for sure and I know it’ll be one of the few games that lingers on my computer for a while.
Oh, it should be mentioned that the game has tonnes of penis jokes, I mean even the title is one. Thankfully the jokes don’t get in the way of the game itself.
