A while ago I watched a youtube video of the Scary Game Squad (on Jesse Cox’s channel) play a game jam version of this and I loved what I saw. Of course, they played through the whole thing so I didn’t see a point in picking it up. However, it turns out that the developers saw real promise in the concept because they made a much longer and fleshed out version.
The game is set in 1987 and you play as Forrest Nash, a late night DJ for the local radio station of the small town of Gallows Creek. In this game you spend your night spinning music and taking the calls of the residents of the little town. Tonight though, there’s a killer on the loose and the calls that usually would be people calling in to request music are now calling asking for help.

Whether those people calling in live or die depends on the choices you make, but don’t worry you won’t be making these choices blind. There are clues and resources to help you scattered throughout the radio station, sometimes that’ll mean trying to work out which fast food place you need to call, or guiding a lost teen through a corn maze you have the map to as they’re being chased. It’s not all stress and horror though, there are plenty of moments of levity to break up the tension, my personal favourite being a specific caller who takes advantage of the air time to advertise his business.
For anyone who’s a fan of horror I think you’ll be well catered for with this game. There are a ton of horror references such as a town map that includes Myer’s Lane and Carpenter Avenue. If you do pick this game up I advise keeping a pen and paper handy as there can be a lot to remember.

Once again the indie scene knocks it out of the park. I cannot praise this game enough and think its a must buy.
