Welcome to the second season of Telltales The Walking Dead. This time you take control of Clementine. This time the game starts off by removing the kid gloves and gives you an emotional pummeling from the outset.
If you played through the first season and it’s DLC (and still have the save files) the game will take note of the choices made in those and their consequences.

As story progresses you’ll find out new things about Clementine, how she felt about the choices made in the previous season and of the situations she’s been in.
One thing I’ve found with this game is that Telltale seem to have really gone out of their way to make sure that the choices you have to make are much much more difficult to predict the consequence of. I also found that many of the choices were extremely hard to make.
It seems that Telltale took some of the techniques they used for The Wolf Among Us and applied them here, because it seems that its graphically more refined and the animations seem more smooth. I didn’t spot a single animation or graphical error at any point throughout the season.

The UI is different, having more akin the The Wolf Among Us (of which a review is coming). It’s definitely more geared to be played with a control pad (xbox specifically it seems) than mouse and keyboard.
I cannot state this more clearly, if you enjoyed the first season BUY THIS GAME. It will gut punch you and there aren’t many comical moments but it’s a worthwhile purchase. If you didn’t buy the first season, I implore you to do so and play it through before you get this one.
