Tired of being beaten down and derided Claptrap decides to take revenge by forming a revolution or robots, a robolution you could say.
This is the forth and final piece of DLC for Borderlands, and the one where we FINALLY get to shoot the annoying monstrosity that is Claptrap!
In a way this is the first DLC that actually has anything to do with the storyline from the main game, I sadly can’t say why because that would be a bit of a spoiler.
If you’ve been reading these reviews I’m sure you know the drill by now, New-U station, fast travel, Tartarus Station, amusing cutscene introduction.
This DLC is probably the largest one out of them all, although much of it felt like padding rather than worthwhile content.
There really is something satisfying about destroying row after row of Claptraps, there’s also something kind of terrifying and comical about the way nearly all your enemies have been ‘Trapsimilated’.
Sorry if this review is rather short but well… It’s more of the same, it’s amusing and shooting the enemies is a lot of fun. If I do have a complaint it’s that there is quite a lot of trudging back and forth between areas with no fast travel. While the other DLC’s also had this they usually had smaller areas or gave you a vehicle to traverse areas quickly.
On the whole it’s definitely worth getting but it’s better value if you get it with the GoTY edition. The whole thing should last you about four or five hours, depending on what level you walk into it at.
