It’s funny how sometimes you really think you’ll enjoy a game and yet something about it doesn’t click. This for me is one of those games, I tried to enjoy it I really did, but there was something that I can’t put my finger on that held me back. What I can say is that its a beautiful game, stunning even, I’m sure you can tell that from the screenshots. The music that accompanies it is also really beautiful and calming.
It’s got some interesting and somewhat enjoyable mechanics with the ability to inhabit and control the bodies of other creatures around you such as fish and birds and that these creatures are the key to navigating beyond some obstacles in the world.
Unfortunately I wish I could call the story interesting, perhaps it was this that let me down but I just couldn’t get invested in it at all. It all felt… trite and forced.
I’m not saying this is a bad game, just simply not one that spoke to me. However if you want a game that allows you to control many creatures then this is not a bad choice.
