Thumper is unusual for a rhythm game mostly because the music isn’t licensed from a popular band or anything like that. Instead it has a haunting, bass thumping soundtrack that’s slightly unsettling. On the Steam page Thumper is described as rhythm violence and having played through the game I can’t disagree, this game can be absolutely brutal and requires pretty precise timing.
This game is great but curse my lack of rhythm and timing. I literally had to get someone else to play this (with me with them) in order to complete the game… and I’m very glad I did.
