God what to say about this game? It’s British, extremely so. In fact it’s not just British, it’s northern. I can tell from the various accents (and the vernacular they used) but even if I had the sound off I would be able to tell from other clues such as some of the graffiti.
The game is set in the fictional town of Barnsworth, where you help (in perhaps the loosest sense of the word) the inhabitants with various issues.
I’m not sure what genre this game fits into besides comedy, you only have two ways to interact with the world, jumping and slapping. I may have to go with what the developers called it on the Steam page a ‘Slapformer’.

This game is hilarious (especially if you’re a Brit) sometimes unintentionally so. I had a good laugh when I did my usual of playing with subtitles turned on and saw that the subtitles were ‘translating’ some of the various colloquialisms that were being said. Seeing terms like ‘give over’ be translated to ‘stop it’ amused me greatly. On the subject of humour, there are multiple times where the humour goes a little dark or alludes to something that once again took me by surprise.
As I was playing this I kept thinking, these developers must be British or at least extremely familiar with Britain. Turns out I was right, after a little research I found that the developer is based in Yorkshire which, for those not familiar with UK geography, is one of the more northern counties in England.
This is such a good game, I had lots of fun with it, but I know some would balk at the price as it is pretty short.
