Wow, Telltale just keep on cranking these out don’t they? Every time I think they must surely have run out of properties they find another one. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, as long as the quality remains I’m quite happy to play more of this style of game.
As you may have guessed from the games title, this is a game following the character Michonne, who appears in both the comics and television show. The thing to bear in mind with this game is that unlike the previous two games in the series this game follows the comics timeline rather than the TV show or the game series own. The good thing about that is that you don’t need to have played the previous games, watched the TV show or read the comics to understand what’s going on.
It’s clear that Telltale have taken some lessons away from their previous experiences with Tales from the Borderlands, particularly when it comes to the art direction. The camera during cutscenes, quick time events (QTE’s) and some environments is positioned to make the scene seem more dynamic.
For some reason, the game occasionally suffers from some kind of animation lag. After having done some research into it and can’t seem to find any specific cause. This is particularly frustrating as I know my system can handle it. Also by the third episode the loading times were starting to become quite long. This seems to be due to the cloud saving feature as the long loading times seem to proceed when the game saves to the cloud.

If you liked Telltales previous Walking Dead games you’ll likely enjoy this. Its a much shorter affair than usual being only three episodes long, but what you get within those episodes is worth the entry price.
