What’s more romantic than travelling to hell to get your own demon girl harem? Actually probably a lot of things but this is what we have right now so deal with it.
Helltaker is a short puzzle game about a man (the titular Helltaker) journeying to hell in an attempt to acquire a harem of demon girls. Each level is a puzzle where you have a set number of moves (or ‘will’ as the game puts it) within the puzzle before you meet an untimely end and have to start the level over.

You can choose to skip any puzzle you like with no negative consequences, however some of the puzzles have an alternate way to solve them that can reveal a hidden ending once the game is over. Actually that’s not true, you can skip any level with exception of the very last one.
I know this is going to make me sound like a hipster but I heard about this not through the various fanart that’s around but through Vanrippers Youtube channel that I happened to subscribe to a little before he released this game (I was already a fan of his animation beforehand from watching his shortlived Daystone series).

I highly recommend giving this game a go its well worth the small amount of time it takes to complete the game. Although fair warning the music is really really catchy, you may end up humming it for days later.
If this appeals to you perhaps try;
