Mind Over Magnet is a game created by the Youtube channel Game Makers Toolkit. I’ve watched that channel for a long time because I’m really interested in the design and creation of games as well as the playing of them. So when Mark Brown, the man who runs the channel, announced he was making a game I took great interest and watched every video about the process that he made. It was a certainty that when he released the game I would get it, partially out of wanting to support him but also because I wanted to see what this game is actually like.
This game is a puzzle platformer that revolves around magnets. You play as a little robot that during the course of the game gains the name Uni. Uni and his magnet friend Magnus are trying to escape the factory they’re trapped in and must navigate their way around all manner of puzzles to succeed.

The puzzles in this game, while never overly complex, can be quite challenging. You do have a few mechanics to play around with, such as being able to throw your magnet and change its polarity. It must be noted that this game is a fairly short affair, though I believe that was for the best. Any longer and the game would have started to drag.
If you like puzzle platformers this is a pretty good one, well worth a look in my opinion.
