6180 The Moon is a platforming game where you take on the role of the Moon who is in search of the Sun. Honestly I can’t think of an artistic way to describe that and believe me I’ve tried!

The thing is this is a platforming game with a rather large difference, that being the games main mechanic. In this game the top and bottom of the screen are joined in what I can only term as a form of screen wrapping. In other words, if you fall through the bottom of the screen you reappear at the top. Add into this that the jump height of the Moon is set and you have to think very carefully about how you perform these jumps or even falls.

This mechanic forces you to rethink how you play a platforming game, especially further in the game when other strange mechanics are brought into play. One thing I found was that unlike many platform games is that it’s not about how quickly you can react, but how patient and well timed you are.
