The world is coming to an end and Elohim has decreed that you, Uriel (or rather a copy of Uriel), are to go to Gehenna and release those he has imprisoned there.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE TALOS PRINCIPLE CLICK BELOW TO READ ON.
I’ll start this review off by stating what is probably pretty obvious, this is more of the same for the most part. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Just don’t enter this DLC expecting any major changes.
Anyway, The Road to Gehenna takes place after the events of the main game. Now that the process (the simulation world the main game is in) is complete the system is starting to shut down. Elohim has seen the error of his ways and summoned a copy of Uriel, his most trusted messenger, to save those he had cast into the world of Gehenna.
This DLC starts you off on puzzles that would match the later difficulty levels in the main game and then surpasses them, especially if you unlock the secret area or go after the hidden stars. This DLC will stump most people at least a few dozen times.
As interesting as all the puzzles themselves are (as well as getting the hidden stars) for me the real meat of this DLC came from interacting with the computers. As with the main game most of the story is told via computers, in the case of this DLC you actually interact with the prisoners of Gehenna. I can’t say much more about that without giving things away, but its worth taking the time to read the messages on the computers and check old messages now and then.
Basically if you enjoyed the Talos Principles main game you’re going to love this. With harder puzzles, a fairly good story and beautiful graphics (seriously just look at them), this DLC is a must have. If you found Talos Principles main game too hard… yeah skip this you will only end up raging.
