I’ve been thinking on the subject a lot recently, specifically on how to review early access games. There are many videos on the subject out there but the ones that stick out the most are Extra Credits and Steph Sterlings points (of which I shall provide links after I’ve said my minor piece).
Basically I’ve decided that I shall avoid reviewing early access games. This decision is in part because I feel its unfair to judge a game that is incomplete but also because I refuse to keep reviewing and rereviewing the same game every time it gets a update.
I shall say this now I’m not a fan of the early access business model. While it has great potential it also has a great many flaws and seems…. consumer unfriendly.
So that’s my stance, I shall not be reviewing early access games.
