I’ve always been fascinated by how language changes and evolves over time, but also how there are several languages that all share a single root. Like Italian and French or German and English. This is a game that explores that concept and I’m sure it’s no accident that throughout the game you are ascending a tower that looks an awful lot like the depictions of the Tower of Babel.

Not to worry though, you aren’t trying to decipher an entire language, merely a set of context sensitive glyphs. However, you will need to restart that process with each floor you ascend as every floor has their own set of glyphs and grammatical rules.

As I mentioned earlier each language has its own set of grammatical rules that you’ll need to learn, but what I found quite clever is that once you’ve collected enough glyphs in a language you can start to make certain… assumptions based solely on characteristics that some glyphs share. I won’t say what those are because that would ruin the fun, assuming you get this game.

I love when a game really gives me the ability to exercise the old grey matter and this one really did that. If you want a brain teaser that doesn’t outstay its welcome I highly recommend this game.
