Sometimes a mod is so good that it eventually is able to become a game in its own right. It’s not common but it’s happened often enough that I make a small list of the more famous examples like The Stanley Parable (which is now technically has sequel), Defence of the Ancients (DOTA) was originally a Warcraft 3 mod, Counterstrike and Team Fortress were both mods for Half-life. I could go on. In the case of this game, it was originally a mod for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

The concept of this game is to try and escape the time loop that you are in and you can only do this by solving the mystery of who is going to commit a ‘sin’. Why am I being vague about the sin? Partially because of spoilers but also because there are several sins that the citizens can and will do. You see, this city operates under the ‘Golden Rule’, if anyone in the city commits a sin of any kind everyone in the city will die. Something to bear in mind is that most of the people in this city are from the ancient Roman Empire, their values won’t always align with your own, meaning what they consider a sin will likely be quite different in some cases.

You’ll go through multiple loops trying to work out the best way to stop some events, cause others and change the way things play out. All with the aim of creating a paradox so you can return home. Thankfully, anything you happen to be holding on to when you loop comes with you allowing you to complete some tasks extremely quickly after you’ve done it once.

I loved my time with this game and completed it in a couple of days, it just kept me hooked completely, trying to solve the main mystery along with several others that appear as you play.
If you like a good puzzle this game is not one to skip out on!
