Sir Hammerlock has invited you to go hunting with him, and why not, what could be more relaxing than shooting some vicious creatures in the face? But it turns out all is not entirely well for your hunting trip between a cargo cult, a crazed scientist and a bunch of extremely tough creatures it seems this may not be quite as relaxing as was intended. Oh well.
As is usually the case, this DLC brings in a few new enemies (which usually are creatures to hunt), new lootable objects, and a new vehicle to control. The vehicle in question is a fan boat, y’know like the one you see on the old TV show Gentle Ben… And that reference went over the heads of most everyone reading this or who plays this game… Nevermind, too late to back out now. Anyway, the fan boat allows you to have one of three ammo types for its turret; corrosive, flame or shock. Personally I found corrosive the most useful as shock seems ineffectual and flame has too short a range for my liking. Like in the first DLC this new vehicle handles like a boat, and understandably so, since it is one. And having ridden in one of those machines I can tell you they don’t just stop when you pull on the brake.
While there are some very fun and worth while missions to perform within this DLC many of the side quests are, for lack of a better word, fetch quests or ‘go kill x amount of this beastie’ quests. One of these quests requires you to hunt and kill quite a few rare creatures, this would be fine except these particular creatures appear randomly in certain areas. Because of this you could quite literally play for half a day and not be anywhere near close to completing this mission.

To me this is the weakest of the Borderlands 2 DLC, it has some standout moments but sadly these are drowned out by the repetitive quests. The fact of the matter is it got to a point where I got fed up of doing a quest and just started my next playthrough. If you can get this on a sale then sure it’ll likely be worth it, but to me £7.99 is too much.
