You awake in a strange place, you can’t remember damn thing and you have a really weird suit on. Suddenly a voice crackles to life in your ear, seems you have a radio, unfortunately it looks like its only receiving audio not sending.
Q.U.B.E is a First Person Puzzle game in a similar vein to the likes of Portal… minus the humor, if your after a laugh here best look elsewhere. You are… well that’s actually up for debate, you are told a name later in the game but there is some evidence that casts some doubt on that. Either way, you apparently have been sent into space to try and dismantle some object that’s on a collision course for Earth.
The suit you have on allows you to interact with your environment, extending blocks, pushing buttons etc at a distance. This allows you to complete puzzles even though there might be a barrier in the way, blocks are activated by left clicking the mouse and deactivated by right clicking.
As you might expect with a puzzle game the further you progress the more complex the puzzles become, although it does seem to plateau after the first hour. Unfortunately the puzzles can be hard simply because the games physics will sometimes glitch out, it doesn’t happen often and when it does it only sets you back slightly. But perhaps when rotating a section the block you are trying to manoeuvre will clip through something it shouldn’t have and change the result.

It’s a pretty enjoyable experience lasting about five or six hours depending on your capability to solve the puzzles. The story telling is a little lacklustre though, it just felt like it was trying to convey some sort of message but it fell flat.
If you like puzzle games with a bit of challenge you’ll probably enjoy this title, unfortunately I just found it to be lacking somehow.
If this appeals to you perhaps try;
