I love that there are now games allow you to gather a group of friends to play that don’t require a separate peripheral. I mean, why have that extra bit of plastic when most people (especially in the audience that would buy games like this) these days usually have a web enabled device close to hand, be it a smart phone, tablet or laptop that can be used instead?

For this review I’ve enlisted the help of two friends of mine (and my fiancee). To attempt to differentiate between them I’m putting one in italics one in bold
and lastly one in underline (which apparently doesn’t work when viewed withing Tumblr itself… so great). I apologise if that seems a bit messy but its the best system I can come up with at the moment.
Anyhow lets get on with this review!

This game is funny as fuck, I am the greatest at subtitles. However it could do with more variation in the games.

I have to agree with that statement, the second part anyway (although she is very good at the subtitle round). The game has four game types that are played over six rounds, as fun as these are it can be become a bit repetitive and makes me wish that they had a couple more game types rather than make the players do the subtitle and headline rounds twice. The repetitiveness becomes even more apparent when playing the subtitle rounds because the game repeats the same video clip before each subtitle which in a four player game got a bit grating.

It’s a great game to play with a family (maybe activate the censor mode
before playing with your parents) But it didn’t go into full screen causing clipping on the sides of the headline game which affected how funny an answer was.
Hilarious.

The screen parameters were out specifically on the ‘newspaper round’
slightly affecting how funny some of the answers would have been.

As you can clearly see my three other players really enjoyed themselves with the game. I’d definitely say that it was worth the money, especially since I know they’ve played it again a few times without me since this review was written. However if I had an option I’d probably go for one of the Jackbox Party Packs over this simply because there is a much greater choice of games and the price increase for it isn’t all that much.

If this appeals to you perhaps try;
