When people say ‘retro inspired’ it usually means its 8 or 16 bit and generally a side-scrolling platform game. What they don’t expect is for a game that is so retro inspired that they have even taken the green screen aesthetic of the original Nintendo Gameboy.
They really committed to the retro idea, even the controls are old fashioned. You can only control using the D-pad on your control pad and the [A] button. That’s it.
As far as the game itself goes, well.. its alright. Beyond its aesthetic the game really doesn’t stand out all that much.
I honestly don’t have much to say about this game (in case it wasn’t clear) it’s not a bad game, but nor is it good. It simply is. If you fancy a quick go yourself you could certain do better and worse.
