Before I begin I want to state that this is a game that I backed on Kickstarter and although I am trying to be as unbiased as I can it’s still possible that some bias will show.

I believe I stated my fondness for point and click adventure games in my reviews before and this game definitely hits the right triggers for me. The pixel art is beautiful, it has a pretty decent soundtrack (to the point that a couple of tracks have made it into regular rotation for me) and I admit I love the cyberpunk setting.
The game is set in the year 2155 in the city of Bornholm (which as far as I can tell is fictional… mostly). You start of playing as Eevi but over the course of the game you’ll take control of two other characters as well.

Born Punk is fully voice acted, and for the most part the voice acting is pretty decent but there are some parts where it feels like the actors didn’t have direction or couldn’t care less.
What I find interesting about this game is that some puzzles can be solved in few different ways, that’s quite refreshing change for a point and click game. Another aspect of the game that I enjoy is that a long hold of the left mouse button reveals all interactable objects on screen which gets rid of one of the most infuriating things that point and clicks are guilty of, pixel hunting.

If I have to level a complaint about this game it would be the need for a fast travel map of some kind. I feel this way because even old games such as Gabriel Knight and Police Quest had some kind of map you could access that would allow you to go to another location without having to work your way through several individual screens first.

On the whole this game is actually really good, I do hope there’s a sequel in the works because I would love to experience more of this world.
